Description
The Titan 40GbE XMC provides up to 4 40GBASE-SR4 optical interfaces in a single XMC mezzanine for CPCI, VME and VPX host platforms. Intel FTXL710-AM1 silicon with x8 PCIe 3.1 Gen3 at 8GT/s delivers IEEE 1588 PTP, 802.1as time synchronization, hardware UDP/TCP/SCTP/IP checksum offload and 256 VMDq virtual machine instances with 1,536 transmit and receive queues. Conformal coating and -40°C to +85°C conduction-cooled operation qualify the card for high-bandwidth airborne and deployed embedded applications.

256 VMDq virtual machine instances with hardware-enforced isolation on a single XMC card allow multiple OS partitions and mission software domains to share 40GbE network access without software-based switching overhead or inter-VM traffic leakage.
Precision-timed high-throughput data recording
IEEE 1588 PTP and 802.1as hardware time synchronization tag 40GbE data flows with nanosecond-accurate timestamps, enabling precise time correlation of high-volume sensor streams across distributed embedded nodes during flight test and ISR operations.
