Vice President / General Manager, Germany
Michael Böhm brings two decades of international defense experience to his role as VP Site Lead at Spectra Defense Technologies’ Munich operations. His career spans some of Europe’s most consequential defense programs — from the introduction phase of the Eurofighter Typhoon to multinational coordination at NATO — and is defined by a consistent ability to align complex organizations around shared technical and strategic goals.
Böhm began his career as a technical officer in the German Air Force, where he developed a foundational commitment to accountability, teamwork and solution-oriented problem-solving. He went on to hold roles at KNDS, Airbus, Leonardo and NATO, contributing to training systems, aerospace integration and the European MALE RPAS program. Across each assignment, the focus remained the same: bridging strategic, industrial and technological divides to make Europe’s defense ecosystem more cohesive and mission ready.
He holds a master’s degree in computer science, a post-graduate master’s in commercial law and a diploma in business administration and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
At Spectra, Böhm is focused on running day-to-day operations, driving sustainable growth and helping integrate the Munich site into Spectra’s broader portfolio of C5ISR capabilities. He sees the convergence of Spectra’s business units — spanning data acquisition, processing and display — as an opportunity to offer customers more complete system solutions and to compete for more complex programs across the U.S. and European defense markets.
